Bitmap fonts

A bitmap font is one that stores each glyph as an array of pixels (that is, a bitmap). It is less commonly known as a raster font or a pixel font. Bitmap fonts are simply collections of raster images of glyphs.

Bitmap fonts come in a variety of formats, for example PCF, BDF, DWF, FON, Amiga Font, ColorFont, BMF and in various other formats.

Most of these fonts come from the early period of personal computers, so the tools for working with them were slowly lost in time.

For that reason, I took on the task of converting them to an interesting format for game creators. This font type is not subject to copyright which you can read more about intellectual property protection of typefaces.

However, I am not the owner or creator of these old fonts. Converted fonts in PNG format are not for sale, you can download them for free.
